The first commandment of the entire Bible is to "Love God" (Matthew 22:37-38). What does the look life for you?
To love God we acknowledge that He exists (Hebrews 11:6). We are not meaningless and accidental beings that came from nothing and are going nowhere. We exist as the work of His hands (Genesis 1:27, Colossians 1:16).
God created us on purpose and therefore has a plan for us (Psalm 33:11, Ephesians 2:10). We trust the Lord with our lives and see all other human philosophy and teaching as vanity (Ecclesiastes 1:2, Proverbs 3:5-6).
Every sin we fall into is a result of putting something in this world before God (Romans 1:24-25). Worship is the daily act of removing idols from our hearts and keeping God first in all our thoughts and actions (Romans 12:1-2).
